Overview
Magnetic separator is a kind of equipment that uses magnetic difference to separate metal and non-magnetic material, or to separate different magnetic metal.
Applications
Mining field: metal magnetic separator is one of the important equipment in the beneficiation process of metal ores. For example, for the sorting of magnetic metal ores such as iron ore, manganese ore, etc., the magnetic separator can effectively improve the grade of the ore, remove the impurities and non-magnetic minerals therein, and provide high-quality raw materials for the subsequent smelting and other processes.
Resource recycling field: for the recycling treatment of various waste metal materials, metal magnetic separator can quickly separate the magnetic metal in them, such as copper, aluminium and other metals in waste steel, waste wire and cable. Through the sorting of the magnetic separator, it can achieve the classification of waste metal recycling and reuse, reduce resource waste and environmental pollution.
Manufacturing field: In some metal processing industries, such as machinery manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, etc., metal magnetic separator can be used to remove magnetic impurities in raw materials and improve the quality and performance of products. For example, in the foundry industry, the magnetic separator can remove the magnetic impurities in the sand used for casting to avoid the impact of these impurities on the quality of castings.
Working principle
Metal magnetic separator mainly relies on the role of the magnetic field, when the material containing metal passes through the magnetic field area, the magnetic metal will be attracted by the magnetic field and adsorbed to the specific parts of the magnetic separator, while the non-magnetic material is not affected by the magnetic field, and it will continue to move in accordance with its own movement trajectory, so as to realise the separation of the metal and non-magnetic material. For example, for ores or wastes containing magnetic metals such as iron, cobalt, nickel, etc., the magnetic separator can effectively separate these magnetic metals from other impurities.
