Overview
Eddy current separator, also known as eddy current non-ferrous metal separator, is a sorting equipment mainly used to collect non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, zinc, tin, gold, silver and other non-ferrous metals in garbage tailings.
Working principle
Eddy current separator is a sorting technology that utilizes different electrical conductivity of materials. Its sorting principle is to use a magnet rotor composed of permanent magnets, and the rotor will generate an alternating magnetic field during high-speed rotation. Eddy currents are induced in the metal when a metal with electrical conductivity is passed through a magnetic field. The eddy current itself will generate an alternating magnetic field and is opposite to the magnetic field generated by the rotation of the magnet rotor. Non-metallic substances such as plastics are separated to achieve the purpose of sorting.
